West Cumbria Strategic Coordination Unit

West Cumbria Strategic Partnership is a subregional policy partnership between Allerdale Borough Council, Copeland Borough Council and Cumbria County Council, for the area of West Cumbria, Britain's Energy Coast.

The objectives of this Partnership between the Councils are to produce and monitor a joint sustainable communities strategy for West Cumbria, and involve stakeholders and communities in that process through the Local Strategic Partnership (that is, the West Cumbria Partnership Forum).

West Cumbria Strategic Coordination Unit

The Strategic Coordination Unit supports the Councils working jointly in the West Cumbria Partnership to develop and monitor the Community Strategy for West Cumbria, involving all sectors of the community in the process.  Its mission is to provide quality support services for policy development, performance management of outcomes, learning, communication, information and administration, which represent value for money.

Within the Unit, the Performance Officer, Steve Hill, leads on:

Co-ordinating performance management of Sustainable Community Strategy outcomes; setting up and maintaining systems and communication routes to ensure that performance analysis and supporting information is available regularly to the Partnership, the Forum and its Review Groups; providing advice and guidance to bodies implementing the Strategy on the use of performance indicators, outcome assessment and monitoring arrangements.
