Cumbria Business Surveys

Since the early 1990s a number of organisations in the county have come together to conduct telephone surveys of local businesses.  Initially these were conducted annually but more recently they have been conducted every 2-3 years.  The surveys cover business of all sizes and sectors in the county, asking a series of questions about business performance, recruitment and skills, support needs etc.  Summary reports from the last 2 surveys are posted here and previous survey reports can be accessed by contacting Ginny Murphy (contact details below).  The reports can only cover a selection of the main survey findings but the findings can also be analysed in more detail, for example by specific sector or geography.  Request for such analysis should be made to Ginny Murphy.
